Personal Description:I am a professional Interior Designer and design Tutor/Mentor/Coach. I graduated in 2007 with a BA Honours in Landscape and Spatial Design. My career as a designer and artist has been recognised internationally through various design projects and exhibitions. I am in my sixth year as teacher, tutor and mentor to young people and adults in all areas of 3D Design. I also organise and deliver tailor made Interior Design courses for personal and group development.
Teaching Experience: • 3 Years: part time Art and Design tutor to Further and Higher education learners studying 3D Design as part of their Art and Design curriculum, alongside Professional Practice in the workplace • 10 Years: Private tuition to support individual learners at all levels • 7 Years: Organising and delivering tailor made Interior Design courses for school and college career days • 5 Years: Provider of industrial talks
Tutoring Approach: I incorporate my knowledge of designing in ‘the real world’ with my experience of teaching to enlighten and motivate students of all abilities within the field of design. I encourage creativity and enhance skills within: • Product Design | Sculpture • Model Making | Technical Drawings • Industrial Design | Contextual Studies • CAD packages including Vectorworks, Sketchup and Artlantis. I also have an extensive network of guest tutors who can enhance skills in further design disciplines including: • Exhibition Design | Web Design • Graphic Design | Alternative visualising • Help with written work | Essays for design theory • Business Setup
Pricing: GCSE £20 per hour Further Education (inc A Levels) £25 per hour Degree Level (3-6) £30 per hour Adult/Casual learners £25 per hour Group Sessions : I offer 6 week Interior Design courses to groups. 3 hours per week. Total cost per person: £270. Maximum 4x learners per group.
Location: Prices shown are for tuition from tutors own design studio in Hull or via the internet. Alternatively I will travel up to 30 minutes to you for a minimum 3 hour session.
Availability: Weekends: Saturday/Sunday Weekdays: Monday/Wednesday /Thursdays
