The Space

We offer four areas of the ground floor space to work from. Each area is approximately 1600 x 2000mm plus walls. What our members do with their space depends on their line of work, but it could be used as a retail/exhibition space, a workspace, or a combination of the two.

What else?

In addition to working space, we offer our members a free window display space of 2000mm x 800mm for a month at a time [rotational] to showcase their work. The area outside the premises can also be used to advertise each individual business. Internally, we have a communal kitchen with microwave, kettle and coffee percolatir and WC on the same floor as the studio space and free parking outside. There is also a shared sofa and coffee table, either for breaks or to chat with clients and visitors.

The studio is accessible between 8am and 9pm, seven days a week. Whilst being a working environment, the studio is also open for public viewing during opening hours, giving additional credibility and promotion to each of our members work.

Each successful applicant is featured on this website, and kept on the ‘previous members’ tab if they decide to move on. We also have a range of industry contacts in Hull who we put our members in touch with for additional local publicity.

Limits to availability

Fundamentally, the space is intended for use by like-minded, fun and relatively clean/noise free creative individuals. This is an exciting platform from which to run and promote any small business or creative discipline, giving you space to work, meet clients and promote your work.

Use of the space is subject to a minimum 3 month rolling contact.

How to become a member

We have had significant interest in this space, so act quickly! Spaces are available from 30.08.2010.

If you wish to apply for a space with us, please download our application form and email it back to ourselves, along with 2 examples of your current work. You don’t necessarily need to have any design or business training, so long as you are intending to make a living from what you do, and its creative, you are welcome to apply.

Don’t be put off if we’re already full up – we have a waiting list, or can offer our window display space to talented people wishing to promote their work.
